梅仁信是個(gè)性格孤僻的怪人，很難相處，從不與人方便。梅仁信之所以如此不近人情，原來當(dāng)年他的妻子昏倒街頭，可是竟然無人伸出援手，以致錯(cuò)過拯救的黃金時(shí)間，含恨而終。當(dāng)年的梅仁信，是名教練，在球壇上可說是叱咤風(fēng)云，計(jì)謀百出，可是由于妻子驟然離世，讓他內(nèi)疚萬分，認(rèn)為忽略及虧欠了她，以致無法原諒自己，從此就隱姓埋名，遠(yuǎn)離球場(chǎng)。
梅家隔壁住著莫家，兩家比鄰而居，隔著一堵薄薄的墻。
莫家與梅家起初是相安無事，可是后來因?yàn)槊啡市诺牟唤饲椋约胺N種芝麻綠豆的小事，與莫家二妹莫麗花搞到水火不容，摩擦不斷,恩怨越結(jié)越深，難以化解。
